Department of Mental Health

The Department of Mental Health Services is a team which consists of the Director; a Psychiatric Advance Practice Nurse, two full time Mental Health clinicians, a part time Art Therapist, two full time Substance Abuse Counselors and a Community Case Manager. The Mental Health Team provides a variety of services to the residents of Broadway House and their families. Services include psychiatric intakes, mental status exams, psychosocial and substance abuse assessments, family interventions, individual/ group counseling and support, as well as crisis intervention. In addition Mental Health represents a significant part of the inter-disciplinary care plan team which provides services to residents and loved ones as needed. We are also a critical part of the Palliative Care team. The primary goal of the team is to maintain the mental health and safety of the residents. They work with each resident to help them achieve their goals and personal best while here at Broadway House and while preparing them to reenter the community.
