Congratulations to Mr. James Gonzalez, President and CEO, on your new appointment!

Broadway House is proud to announce that Mr. James R. Gonzalez, President and Chief Executive Officer of Broadway House for Continuing Care, has been appointed to the additional position of acting President and Chief Executive Officer of The University Hospital (UH).

Mr. Gonzalez is highly regarded by his peers as an innovative leader, particularly in difficult circumstances. He carefully guided a critical transformation and community acceptance of Broadway House by becoming an integral health care resource within the North Ward of Newark.

His familiarity with UH and the University is also a welcome advantage. He currently serves as Director of Clinical Academic Affiliations for UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. Immediately prior to assuming his leadership role at Broadway House in 2000, he was assistant vice president of administration at UH.

Mr. Gonzalez is eager to embrace this new challenge, while continuing in his current role leading Broadway House. He will begin his new role in August 2011.
