Family Members Celebrate the Life of Former Resident by Giving Back

On a cold February day Broadway House was overflowing with the warmth and love showered upon us by Kendra Gainey as she generously shared her birthday with the residents of Broadway House. Kendra Gainey wanted to do something meaningful for her birthday. So she celebrated her special day in memory of her beloved nephew, Kevin H, by sharing it with the residents who knew and loved him and the staff of Broadway House who provided expert loving care to him during his stay.

Kendra along with her husband Bo, her mother Judy Wooten , her sister Pamela Wooten (Kevin’s Mother), good friend Angela Laster and the Reverend Ivy Gash McCord celebrated with music, singing, and praise for Kevin’s life. Kendra requested that her friends, neighbors and relatives donate useful items for Broadway House instead of giving her presents. So eight boxes of items containing socks, underwear, toiletries and more were donated in her name to the residents of Broadway House. Happy Birthday to Kendra Gainey and thanks for spending your birthday helping others.
