Governor Codey Celebrates Valentine’s Day at Broadway House

On Valentine’s Day 2006, Governor Richard J. Codey visited Broadway House for the second time to acknowledge the dedication and determination the facility portrays. Broadway House is the state’s only specialized nursing care facility for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, its 74-bed adult residence is dedicated to serving the complex, post-acute needs of its chosen population. It has served more than 360 people annually and has compassionate staff that provide a comprehensive, inter-disciplinary approach to continuum of medical, support and rehabilitation services.

During Governor Codey’s visit he brought cake, flowers, and candy for every resident. He also spent time talking and taking pictures with the residents and staff.

“We were pleased and honored to have Governor Codey return to Broadway House and will always welcome him to Broadway House anytime,” said James Gonzalez, MPH, CHE, president and chief executive officer of Broadway House for Continuing Care.

Governor Codey and his staff understand the importance of the facility’s efforts and left with a clear understanding of the purpose and role of Broadway House for Continuing Care.
