Established in 2003, the President’s Volunteer Service Award is available on an annual basis to individuals, groups and families who have met or exceeded requirements for volunteer service and have demonstrated exemplary partnership through volunteering. As one of thousands of Certifying Organizations participating in this award program, Broadway House for Continuing Care confers the award to recognize the outstanding achievements of its volunteers.

Broadway House for Continuing Care recently awarded Adam Baginski with the Bronze President’s Volunteer Service Award. Baginski is a Junior at St. Peter’s Prep High School in Jersey City and a resident of Glen Ridge. In 2005, Baginski completed over 100 hours of volunteer service at Broadway House to qualify for this award. As a volunteer he assisted residents with many leisure activities including bingo, card games, and the candy store. “My favorite thing to do was talk with the residents. They would tell me their problems and I liked to be the person they could count on,” said Baginski. Besides volunteering, Baginski participates in his high school’s math, history, golf, and swim teams. “Each volunteer hour he contributed makes a difference in improving the quality of life for our residents, and I encourage everyone to contribute to our community by volunteering.” James Gonzalez, CEO; President of Broadway House.
