Celebrating 22 years of Caring for the HIV/AIDS Community
After months of preparation and 3 days of cleaning and set up, Broadway House’s Rotunda and New Vista Ballroom were ready to welcome approximately 180 guests and the inaugural RED TIE GALA.
The evening was an outstanding success raising almost $90,000 that will be used to provide expanded residential services and programs and upgraded living environments. Guests dined on a multi-cultural themed buffet while enjoying live jazz music, our Broadway House magician, photo booth and raffles.
Board member Gary Paul Wright served as the master of ceremonies and introduced President/CEO Jim Gonzalez who presented the Gala Honorees with their Presidential Awards:
- Mary Ann Christopher, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield
- NJ Senator Richard J. Codey
- Father Robert Sandoz, OFM, “Father Bob”, Christ the King Prep School
Additionally, tribute was paid to the Essex Catholic High School Alumni Foundation. The school was located in the historic Metropolitan Life building and each year, the alumni return to Broadway House for a get-together.
Thanks to all the corporate sponsors, honorees, volunteers and Broadway House staff who worked together as a team to make the RED TIE GALA meaningful and memorable.
